The project is to construct two sets of pedestrians escalators to connect the footbridge above the Cross Harbour Tunnel Toll Plaza to the Tunnel Bus Stop. The project also comprises construction of covered walkways at ground level between the escalators and the existing covered walkways; transplanting, clearing and felling of trees in an existing planting area; laying of underground G.I. pipeworks from a water supply point at the western footway of Hong Chong Road to the south of the junction of Science Museum Path and Hong Chong Road to two proposed water points; construction of associated road/footpath and drainage works, steelworks, E&M works, landscape works and any other work ancillary to the escalator housings and covered walkways.
