Project Disney Hollywood Hotel Hong Kong is to get its own world class Disney theme park and destination resort. It will be a tremendous tourism, entertainment and recreation asset for the community and future generations.
Hong Kong Disneyland Phase 1 will occupy 126 hectares at Penny's Bay. This can be expanded to 180 hectares at a future date while Phase 1 is planned to open in October 2005. It will include a Disney theme park, a Disney theme resort hotel complex, and a retail, dining and entertainment centre. This 600-room Disney theme resort hotel - Disney Hollywood Hotel is designed with Art Deco exterior and featuring motifs of Disney's world-famous mouse and is a tribute to the heyday of the movie-making capital of the world. Hong Kong Disneyland will herald a new era for Hong Kong's tourism industry, and enhance Hong Kong's image as a vibrant and cosmopolitan international city.
